At 67 and 68, Diane and Marvin were living in a motel, struggling to make ends meet. Diane, recovering from a partial foot amputation due to diabetes, was also the primary caregiver for Marvin, who was experiencing memory loss after a stroke. Despite receiving SSI and Social Security, their fixed income couldn’t keep up with basic needs and rising medical expenses.

Through the Prevention Program, Loisann’s Hope House helped Diane and Marvin secure stable housing in Spotsylvania. With the addition of SNAP and Medicaid support, they were finally able to focus on their health and healing. We provided essentials for their new home and made sure they had holiday gifts – small comforts that brought dignity and joy back into their lives.
